So I thought I'd do a photo series documenting our very own cyclone called Debbie who just happens to be waltzing through our little town in T-minus 15 hours.
I can't imagine my parents being overly thrilled with the idea of me taking pictures, but I thought I might as well document the behind the scenes of a (potential) Category 3(or 5) hurricane ( we don't actually know what to expect... oh Deborah..)
Of course, I don't have too much experience with cyclones or hurricanes, other than when I was on a tiny island called Great Gull Island when a gentle remnant of a hurricane hit my humble 17 acre abode (lots of rain and wind but no structural damage thankfully).
Certainly will be a new experience and adventure all in one bundle (safety first, of course). My housemates and I have already gone ahead and waterproofed our rooms just incase we get a little water inside, never hurts to be prepared..right?
These past couple of days have been gorgeous and sunny, which has been a total 180 from what the forecasters have been saying. It's almost like it's nature's way of putting us in a false sense of happiness before she decks us in the face with wind and water.
Further updates for the next few days, granted the power and internet stays on...
